A story of tradition

Bougatsa dates back to long before 1453 A.D. when Constantinople was the capital of the Byzantine Empire. Now handmade in the region of Serres in northern Greece; the only place in the world that still uses the authentic and traditional preparation technique with the best local ingredients.

Our Bougatsa is made by preparing Filo dough which is hand stretched and then wrapped around a filling; either sweet or savoury. The sweet Custard Cream Bougatsa is also dusted with Cinnamon and Sugar after baking.
